New Ethical Dilemmas Facing Counselors and Clinical Supervisors
This training will review the current literature regarding new ethical dilemmas related to technology and the Internet, and provide guidance and recommendations for both counselors and clinical supervisors. Case scenarios will be used to highlight these dilemmas and encourage discussions among training participants related to:
1. The use of social networking websites by clinical supervisors, counselors and clients:

3. Conducting internet searches on clients and/or supervisees;
4. Conducting client consultations online

Clinical Skills in the Era of Legal Cannabis
The trend toward legalization of medical and retail cannabis presents behavioral health clinicians with unique challenges. This course summarizes current research literature related to the effects of cannabis on the mental and physical health of adolescents and adults. Evidence-based strategies and specific handouts to engage clients in productive discussions about their cannabis use will be practiced and shared in addition to multimedia resources for further study.
