CONFIDENTIALITY
This course will provide information on the new federal requirements of 42 CFR part 2 and HIPAA regarding client confidentiality and protection of client confidential information in behavioral health counseling. Students will discuss handling various confidential issues that may arise in the behavioral field.

Family Violence & Substance Use Disorder
Domestic violence and Substance Use Disorder are progressive, chronic, and potentially lethal conditions. This class will focus on the two interactive cycles, responses from victims and perpetrators, resistance factors, and roadblocks to change. Strategies for unraveling and identifying treatment issues and networking protocols will be addressed.
