Crisis Intervention
Crisis Intervention will provide the foundational and practice information on general crisis events. It will focus on crisis responses such as depression, grief, relapse, and increased shame, loss of motivation and self-esteem, and isolating. Co-Occurring Disorders JUNE 2019

Family Systems 2 JUNE 2019
This course will provide information about Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) which is a
family-based outpatient treatment developed for clinically referred adolescents with drug and
behavioral problems. The intervention methods derive from target population characteristics, and
are guided by research-based knowledge about dysfunctional and normal adolescence and family
development.

Prevention and Community Development FEBRUARY 2019
This course will provide the key features and strategies of prevention and community development promoted by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The course will cover both prevention in early childhood (0-8 years) and the SAMHSAs Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) prevention model that promotes resilience and prevents problem behaviors across the life span.
