Fall Academy

The Academy Application is available for download in pdf format.

  • Dates: Monday, September 17 through Thursday, October 4, 2012.
  • Training: For Counselor Technician, Level One, and Behavioral Health Aids
  • Training hours: 112 hours toward certification through the Alaska Commission for Behavioral Health Certification (ACBHC). For certification fees and all other information regarding additional training hours and work experience requirements, contact ACBHC at 332-4333
  • No UAA credits will be available at this academy.

Location: Crowne Plaza Midtown - Anchorage

Fee: $2,500.00 for students requiring housing. Fee will cover:

    • Housing
    • Weekday meals (Monday thru Friday) - Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
    • Weekend meals (Saturday and Sunday)- Breakfast only
    • Tuition
    • Textbooks
    • Training manual
    • Miscellaneous supplies such as pens, notepads, and highlighters

Fee: $1,465.00 for students NOT requiring housing. Fee will cover:

    • Tuition for fourteen (14) days
    • Lunch ONLY (14 days: Monday - Friday)
    • Textbooks
    • Training manual
    • Miscellaneous supplied such as pens, notepads, and highlighters

Scholarships

Scholarships may be available.

Travel

All students will be entirely responsible for their own transportation cost to and from the Crowne Plaza Midtown - Anchorage.

Accommodations

Students will be staying in a shared non-smoking suite. Each suite has two beds, a microwave, and a small refrigerator. A small pool and whirlpool are located on the first floor.  Individual suites are available at an ADDITIONAL cost.
